At Moonrise Crystals we believe that there’s a crystal for every person and every situation. This Apache Tear Obsidian was gifted to a very special person. They were nominated by someone who loves them very much.

They miss him every day, but it’s harder around the holidays. On Christmas Eve, it will be exactly 16 months since they lost him. He was only 18 when the world become too much for him and he had to leave. His little sister found the body. His mom’s broken heart is still jagged and raw.

His aunt misses him too, but she’s focused on the living. She knows that her niece and sister-in-law need extra love and support this holiday season.

Their Stone

Apache Tear Obsidian is the very best stone to work with when we are grieving. It has a very tender, yet strong, energy that we can cling to like a lifeline when our hearts are crying. It acknowledges the depth of our sorrow, while also offering gifts of resiliency, acceptance and strength to go on. Apache Tear Obsidian reminds us that there is no time-limit on our grieving, no formula we have to follow. But it does ask us to be very gentle with ourselves around anniversaries and holidays. It supports us so that we can allow ourselves time to heal, rather than burying our sadness too quickly. Apache Tear Obsidian’s energy holds us safe and reverently whispers peace back into our hearts.
