Ametrine helps us to overcome prejudices

Ametrine Crystal

At Moonrise Crystals we believe that there’s a crystal for every person and every situation. This Ametrine was gifted to a very special person. They were nominated by someone who loves them very much.

Some people are born fearless and insist on being true to themselves. It takes nerves of steel to come out as transgender in the current political climate. But 5 months ago, that’s exactly what Blythe did.

He’s only 19, but he’s shouldering his responsibilities like a full grown man. He’s working hard, paying his bills, maintaining his home, and taking care of his sweetheart. He’s doing it all, while riding a hormone change that is transforming his outer appearance so that it matches who he is inside. It’s not easy, but he keeps going, taking it day by day. Like I said, some people are just born fearless

His mom is awed by his courage and proud of him too. Not surprising, since she’s an artist who marches to her own drum. She knows that to “grow up” means to become who we really are.

Their Stone

Ametrine is a rare form of quartz found in a single location and combines purple Amethyst with yellow Citrine. Unsurprisingly, it’s energy is also a blend of two distinct energies, both peaceful & wise as well as happy & confident. Ametrine is a stone for positive transformation and encourage us to be who we truly are Even if our truth is rare or unusual, and even if there are negative voices who want to dictate our path for us. Ametrine encourages us to take control of our own life, to make good choices that serve our Highest Good, and above all to be happy in our own skin. It unites our masculine and feminine energies and helps us to overcome prejudices, ignorance and apparent contradictions. It invites us to stand tall, be proud and feel good inside and out.

Ametrine is a rare variety of quartz that combines the peaceful and wise energies of purple Amethyst with the happy confidence of yellow Citrine.  This distinctive crystal is found only in a single deposit in Bolivia.  Trace particles of iron give Ametrine its two colors. Normally when any quartz crystal forms, it cools down at a constant rate and turns a single color, but in this case the temperature abruptly changed midway  and so two different colors formed.  Ametrine is a wonderful stone when we need to see both sides of a situation or make difficult choices.  It’s energy is can also help us to be true to ourselves and more accepting of others.
