At Moonrise Crystals we believe that there’s a crystal for every person and every situation. This Carnelian was gifted to a very special person. They were nominated by someone who loves them very much.
More than anything in the world, they want a child. The nursery is painted and they’ve stockpiled homemade blankets, clothes and toys. Their home is ready and everyone – the future parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors – are ready to welcome the baby home. She’s an Italian-American who loves to cook. He’s a Mexican-immigrant who’s always making people laugh. They’ve been together 17 wonderful years and have built a good life together. The only thing missing is the sound of children laughing and playing. Since a biological child is impossible, they’re trying to adopt. They are open to every possibility, domestic and international, but so far the experience has been humbling and expensive.
Can you imagine what it’s like to go to a Mexican orphanage, but then walk out with empty arms? Can you imagine what it’s like to pay an adoption lawyer to help you, only to have the contract expire and be dropped from his list? Can you imagine writing letters to pregnant birth mothers, promising them a good life for their baby? Can you imagine what it’s like to know that LOVE alone is not enough, and that adoption is a mess of red tape and fees. Can you imagine creating a Go Fund Me account and asking strangers to help you? All they want is to welcome a child into a loving and stable home.
A friend of theirs has been witness to this adoption journey. She wants them to succeed and knows they will be fantastic parents. She’d like to send them some magic and some luck to help them on their way.

Carnelian is a vibrant orange crystal that has been delighting people since the time of the Pharaohs in ancient Egypt. It was first described as having powerful energy in the legendary funeral texts, The Book of the Dead. Carnelian is sometimes characterized as a Chalcedony, especially when it is a solid orange color, and sometimes as an Agate, especially if its striped with white bands. During ancient times, it was mined in Mediterranean countries, but today, most Carnelian comes from Botswana, Brazil and India. It has a happy energy, that can be playful or protective.
