At Moonrise Crystals we believe that there’s a crystal for every person and every situation. This Preseli Bluestone was gifted to a very special person. They were nominated by someone who loves them very much.
They have a sweet friendship. The kind that refreshes the soul and makes the heart glad.
One of their favorite things to do together is visit crystal shops. They love all the color and glitter, the shine and the rainbows, the swirly, heady, grounding, centering energy of all the stones singing together. Most crystal shops are feasts for the senses. There’s often a smell of incense in the air paired with the sound of sacred and new age music. There might be tea to drink or little chocolates that melt on the tongue. There will certainly be a hundred different textures ready to delight curious fingertips. Such a marvelous way to spend an hour! What fun to spend a few precious dollars and take home a little bit joy and peace.
Life happens, the wheel always turns, and sometimes friendships change. We all must walk our life path and sometimes the roads diverge, one friend moves away and the other friend stays behind. They’re still connected in their hearts, but physically they’re now far removed.

Preseli Bluestone is sometimes called “Stonehenge”. That’s because this is the very same stone, from the very same mountain, used to build that great stone circle. It shouts out, be filled with joy! Gather together! The Light is triumphant and it’s time to celebrate all that is good and holy. Preseli is stone for true friendship, the kind that lasts through the years and across the miles. It helps us to stay connected to the people who make our hearts feel happy. Preseli also sings of the sacred mysteries. It invites us to explore more and to follow our magical inclinations. It encourages us to explore the natural world too and allow all our senses to come alive. Preseli helps to find our pathway forward. It invites us be truer to ourselves with each passing year, and to grow into the person we are meant to be. It reminds us of where we came from and the people who helped us along the way.

Preseli Bluestone is a rare variety of Dolerate, an igneous rock. It is found only in the Preseli Hills of Wales in the United Kingdom. It’s great claim to fame is that these stones form part of Stonehenge, a famous prehistoric monolith in southern England. According to legend, the stones were brought by magic by the wizard Merlin in the years before King Arthur’s court. When left rough, it is a blue-grey stone, but when polished Preseli turns bright green. Energetically it is unsurprisingly tied to the energy of the Old Ways, of druids and the shamans of old Europe.
