Eudialyte Healing Properties

Rare tumbled Eudialyte from Sweden! Most of the tumbled Eudialyte on the market comes from the nearby Kola Peninsula in Russia, but these sweet babies are from further west. They were hand-collected by an old Danish prospector who specializes in rare Nordic crystals. Each piece is a combination of several minerals, the pink parts are the Eudialyte, the black is most likely Aegirine and the white Albite (aka: Moonstone).

Ethically Sourced Eudialyte

This Eudialyte is a byproduct of an industrial Phosphate mine on the Kola Penninsula, Russia.

Learn More About Ethical Mining

This lapidary drum tumbles stones in Cape Town, South Africa. It is a family business, founded by a father and passed on to his sons. Factory workers have safe conditions and are paid fairly. The lapidary sells primarily at two gemshows, one in the United States and the other in France.

Learn More About Ethical Lapidaries

I have been doing business with this source since 2014. They are the oldest tumbling company in the world and have more varieties, in more sizes, than any other known source. The company started in California in the 1950s and was eventually bought by a British immigrant who had young sons. Eventually the company moved to South Africa in order to be closer to the source of their best-selling stone and to have the legal rights to export it. The company is now run by the sons and their childhood best friend.

The current owners personally visit many small and large mines. To connect with artisanal miners in sub-Sahara Africa, they work with local Gem Dealers who travel far into the bush to buy from part-time miners. The majority of these Gem Dealers are women. Some, but not all, of their stones are labeled with country-of-origin. For those that aren’t, I ask the owners directly. As I’ve learned more about mining practices in individual countries, I have become increasingly selective about what I will purchase from them. However, they remain my preferred source for most of the stones I sell from sub-Sahara Africa.

Eudialyte Healing, Mineralogy, and History

Published September 2016  •  Updated July 2022  •  Read Time: 6 minutes
Eudialyte is rosy red mineral that grows in igneous rocks.  It is principally mined as a minor ore for Zirconium, but some pretty crystals are set aside for the collector’s market.  It contains a tiny amount of Uranium, a fact which worries some crystal healers, but does not at alarm geologists who understand the scale and scope.  Most of the Eudialyte on the market comes from the far North, including Canada, Greenland and Russia, and its associated with legends from the indigenous peoples near the arctic.  Eudialyte is a stone of courage and self-love.  Its energy encourages us to have good boundaries and to resist self-destructive behaviors and habits. Today I received my crystals! I am beyond happy about them. It brings me so much joy to have stones that I can feel confident about the ethics in, and I feel as if everything has such a pure energy because of that. The Moss Agate Heart especially makes me happy, and Eudialyte and Tree Agate have lovely energies that I am very excited to explore more of. Overall, I am just overjoyed with what I received, both in physical items and in the customer service from you.

Thank you for your help in answering my questions, thank you for carefully selecting the crystals, and thank you for caring about ethics enough to make a change in the crystal world. I am very grateful for what you have done so far and what you will continue to do!
