Fire Agate Healing Properties

Natural Fire Agate often looks brown when viewed indoors, but take it outside into the sunshine, and its true colors will be revealed! The "fire" shifts and moves as the light dances across the surface of the stone. The actual Agate has been polished, but it is still partially attached to the rough matrix stone. Fire Agate is highly recommended to take to the workplace, especially if your coworkers or customers have negative energy. Keep it on your desk to protect you from negative vibes so you can keep on shining bright!

This Fire Agate comes from artisanal miners working near Calvillo Aguascalientes Mines, Mexico. This Agate mining has a low environmental impact and is relatively safe for miners.

This lapidary is a family business in Mexico. The father has been hand-polishing Fire Agates in his home-based business for decades. His children sell rough and polished Fire Agate at two major gem shows in the United States.

I originally had Fire Agate from another source with more middlemen involved. I connected directly with my current source at the 2020 Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. This is a very small family lapidary in a rural area. Artisanal miners pick up Fire Agate in the surrounding area and bring it to the polisher. He hand-polishes each stone using sandpaper and a leather strap. The main polisher doesn’t speak English, but fortunately for me, his son does. I asked his eldest son many questions about the mining and polishing. Both father and son were surprised and pleased to be asked questions that went beyond price and quality.
