Collected all my new stones on Friday, I was so excited and it was such a delight to finally see them all - they are all BEAUTIFUL and I love them! The new larimar and green opal you picked for me look great next to the first ones I got from you and even better still when put together with the super cute and happy-looking citron chrysoprase (it's so difficult not to mistake that one for a lemony-tasting piece of candy at first glance!)

Supply Chain for Green Opal

This Green Opal comes from a small claim in Bulgaria. The miner has been working his claim for decades using hand tools and small machinery. It has a low environmental impact and is relatively low risk for the miner.

This gem dealer is a Danish prospector. He runs a small one-man wholesale business. He prospects for stones across northern Europe and Greenland. Rough stones are sent to China to be drum-tumbled. Factory conditions are safe for workers.

I first met this source at the 2020 Tucson Gem Show. I was looking for a better source for Nuummite and found a new one that specialized in stones from Greenland and Northern Europe. The owner is an old prospector who has been in the business for almost 50 years and he has STORIES! We talked for 2 hours straight and he provided me with incredibly detailed information. Without reservation, I bought some of everything.

I met all my new stones yesterday night and I know it’s common practice to cleanse them right after you get them but even just right out of the bag so many of them felt like they were subtly buzzing with good, comforting vibes in my palm! i love how you chose a more bluish minty green shade for the prehnite! It’s perfect and together with the green opal, these two match my most favourite rock perfectly (a beautiful gentle sea-green pistachio calcite that was in the first batch of stones I ever got). They are lovely and refreshing colours and make me so happy. The rest are great too and seem to be of wonderful quality, especially the amber. I’m excited to try and work with them!

I love the soft, sea-green Opal. It’s one of the sweetest, gentlest stones ever.
