Energy Vibrations

Wear a Norwegian Impactite bracelet when you want to make a positive impact! This is a very unique piece of jewelry, the metamorphic rocks were formed when a meteorite hit the Earth. The rough rocks were legally gathered near Gardnos Crater and then sent to a lapidary for polishing. During the drum tumbling process, small pieces were chipped off. Rather than throw these small pieces away as waste, they were carefully sorted from the gravel and strung into bracelets.

Impactite from Norway

Know where your crystals come from

This Impactite was legally gathered in the forest near Gardnos Crater, Norway. All of these pieces are found loose on the ground, causing virtually no environmental impact and no risk to the miner.

This gem dealer is a Danish prospector. He runs a small one-man wholesale business. He prospects for stones across northern Europe and Greenland. Rough stones are sent to China to be drum-tumbled. Factory conditions are safe for workers.

I first met this source at the 2020 Tucson Gem Show. I was looking for a better source for Nuummite and found a new one that specialized in stones from Greenland and Northern Europe. The owner is an old prospector who has been in the business for almost 50 years and he has STORIES! We talked for 2 hours straight and he provided me with incredibly detailed information. Without reservation, I bought some of everything.

Impactite Healing, Mineralogy, and History

Published February 2021  •  Updated April 2024  •  Read Time: 6 minutes
Impactite are a fascinating metamorphic rock.  While most rocks form slowly, Impactites are formed instantly when a meteorite slams into the Earth, transforming the rocks inside and around the impact crater.  Impactites are formed at the same time as Tektites, a natural glass created with the heat of the meteorite briefly liquifies the rocks.  Impactites are never liquified, they are just softened and mushed together.  Many impactites can be identified to a specific crater based on its mineral content.  Impactites from Norway started out as a granite before the strike.  Impactites helps us transform ourselves quickly and bring our biggest dreams to life.
