Isua is one of the most ancient rocks on the planet and offers tantalizing clues about the dawn of life itself. This metamorphic rock is found only in the Isua Greenstone Belt in southwestern Greenland. At one point, it was believed to be a fossil, perhaps a variety of Stromatolite.
