Libyan Desert Glass is a rare tektite found in the Sahara Desert, on the border between Libya and Egypt. While it is always yellow, this gem is has a slight hint of green when found in Egypt, and is a purer yellow when found in Libya. Tekites are a type of natural glass that is created when a meteorite strikes the earth.
