Mine-to-market Platinum Obsidian. These black and gray banded Obsidians come from a mine that specializes in Rainbow Obsidian. The energy of pure Black Obsidian can sometimes be quite blunt, Platinum Obsidian is a like an iron fist in a velvet glove - the strength is there but it's more subtle. These would be great to bring to work for teambuilding and problem-solving. They would also be incredible to carry in a therapy session.

Platinum Obsidian is a silver and black banded Obsidian. Despite the name, it doesn’t contain any precious Platinum, the name is strictly for marketing purposes. Obsidian is formed from rapidly-cooling lava after a volcanic eruption. The bands of color are due to differing amounts of micro-crystallinity as each layer hardens. Thank you for choosing the Platinum Obsidian with two eyes, a light eye and a dark eye, for me. When I hold it I find myself asking both eyes to help me see and understand what is going on. The silvery bands are every bit as distinct as in the photo but more beautiful because there is also a softness, most of them blend gently where they meet. Before it arrived I read your description and wondered how in the world an Obsidian would be diplomatic and good for team-building. Now I know. Though its energy feels different from Apache Tear, like Apache Tear this Obsidian has a wonderful gentleness.
