Rainbow Obsidian is a rare variety of naturally-colorful Obsidian found mainly in Jalisco, Mexico. It wonderful colors are created by nanoparticles of Hedenbergite caught within the volcanic glass. All Obsidians are grounding and encourage us to love truth, but Rainbow Obsidian also encourages us to have hope and to keep our chin up. It is a great stone to work with when we are struggling with a major problem that makes us feel gloomy and helpless. The obsidian is also very nice. A tad different than I was expecting, I would actually say its green, blue and purple, which is good. More rainbowy. Energetically it’s exactly as expected. All the solid qualities of obsidian, but happier, and with a side of just happiness and uplift as well. Also, the polish on both pieces is fantastic.

The Galaxy Rainbow Obsidian – wow! And wow, and wow again! I’ve never seen a Rainbow Obsidian as bright and gorgeous as this one.
