Healing Properties of Seraphinite
Spiritual: Seraphinite provides a direct link with the Angelic Realms and can help us to better hear the Immense Love and Powerful Will of the Divine. It is a joyful stone, shining Light into the Darkness, and giving us hope and faith. With its high spiritual vibration, Seraphinite invites us to live in sweet harmony with all beings; earthy, celestial, magical and everything in between! Seraphinite can help us to more deeply connect to the energies of the Divine Feminine in general, as well as Earth Goddesses and nature spirits in particular. Any one who gardens or works with herbs, flowers, and other growing things will strongly benefit from working with this stone. Seraphinite is attuned to ALL Chakras and linked to the astrological sign of Sagittarius. It is connected to the elements of Earth and Storm and vibrates to the number 5.
Emotional: Seraphinite’s energy is both joyful and peaceful. It gently lifts away any emotional energies that no longer serve us, so that we can feel emotionally free and at ease. Seraphinite subtly helps us to become more flexible and to better react to situations in a positive manner. It enhances the natural good vibrations in relationships and helps to heal or release any negative energies that may have arisen. Seraphinite opens our heart so that we can feel loved. This includes both the All-Encompassing Love of the Divine, as well as the love of the people around us who know us well and see our true beauty. Seraphinite helps us to receive this love with gratitude and to love others generously.
Mental: Seraphinite’s unique vibration encourages us to be independent, while also having strong and healthy relationships. It stimulates our sense of diplomacy, courtesy, and tact, while also urging us to be open and honest about our needs and desires. Seraphinite can also teaches us to be better organized in every area of our life. It is particularly helpful to work with whenever we start to feel chaotic and overwhelmed. Seraphinite helps us to create a small corner of order within the chaos, and from that corner spiral outwards until we bring things back into something fully manageable.
Physical: Seraphinite is most often used by metaphysically healers to treat cancer and other illnesses at the cellular level. It is believed to be one of the best all-around excellent physical healing stones, helping the body return to its natural state of balance and good health. It is said to be especially good for treating conditions that affect the physical heart and spinal chord.
Always use wisdom when considering crystal therapies for healing.

Mineral Family: Seraphinite is a rare form of Clinochlore, a Silicate Mineral Family. Silicate minerals are the largest family of minerals, including more than 25% of all known minerals and 40% of all common minerals. In addition to being a major part of the Earth’s crust, Silicate minerals have also been found on the moon and in meteorites. Silicates are minerals which contain the elements Silicon (a light gray shiny metal) and Oxygen (a colorless gas). Together, these two elements form a tetrahedron – a shape similar to a pyramid – with a Silicon atom in the center and Oxygen atoms at each of the four corners. These tetrahedra connect with other chemical structures, in six different ways, to form various minerals and rocks. Seraphinite belongs to the Phyllosilicate group, whose tetrahedra connect at three corners to form hexagonal rings. This group also includes such well-known minerals as Chrysocolla, Fuchsite, Lepidolte, Prehnite and Serpentine.
Formation: Seraphinite is created when granite, an igneous rock, is thrust into sedimentary carbonate rocks such as Dolemite and Limestone, making new metamorphic rocks, and a wide variety of minerals.
Mining: Seraphinite has been found in only one location, in an iron mine, in Irkutskaya Oblast, Eastern Siberia. The mine is located near Lake Baikal, the largest and oldest freshwater lake in the world.
Enhancements: All Seraphinites may be considered fully natural, enhanced only by tumbling, cutting, and polishing.
History of Seraphinite
Seraphinite is a rare variety of Clinochlore, found only in Eastern Siberia. It is a relatively “new” healing stone whose healing properties have only recently been explored. It was first documented in the late 19th century, by Russian mineralogist Nikolay Koksharov (1818-1893). While Clinochlore is always green, this particular variety is notable for its impressive chatoyancy, an optical reflectance effect, more commonly called “cat’s eye”. Chatoyacy is most famous for creating that distinctive shimmery sheen seen on polished Tigers Eye. On Seraphinte, the Chatoyancy creates silvery “feathers”.
Seraphinite’s name comes from Seraphs or Seraphim Angels, a nod to the shimmery white “feathers” on the mineral. In Christianity, the Seraphim are the highest level of Angels, while in Judiasm, they are squarely in the middle of the Angel hierarchy. In both cases, the Seraphim are said to be forever in the presence of God, praising and adoring, and closely associated with Light and Divine Joy.
