These are the sweetest Shell hearts! They are white with a little swirl on one side the front, and have a pinkish blush on the back. The little swirl is so delicate it almost appears to be painted on, but it's fully-natural, showcasing Mother Nature beauty and the polishers' skill. They come from Madagascar which has a variety of marine fossils, including sand dollars, clam shells, and ammonites. If a shell is in one piece, it can be sold to collectors, but a broken one cannot. Rather than just leave the broken ones in a slag pile, polishers have taken pieces and polished them into hearts. Reminding us that we can always take the 'broken' parts of ourselves and polish lovingly until something new and more beautiful emerges.
