Tiger’s Eye encourages us to be confident and to go after our dreams
Tiger’s Eye is a semi-precious gem that forms when Quartz replaces the mineral Crocidolite. At the beginning of this geological process, the stone is either grey or blue and may be called Cat’s Eye, Hawk’s Eye or Blue Tiger’s Eye. As the process continues, the blue is gradually replaced by gold. If the Gold Tiger’s Eye is then heated, either by natural causes or artificially, the stone’s becomes red. At Moonrise Crystals most of our Tiger’s Eye comes from South Africa, but our Cat’s Eye is from the neighboring country of Zimbabwe. Tiger Iron, which includes stripes of Gold Tigers Eye, is from western Australia.
