He’s always coming up with ideas. Big ideas, grand ideas, raw, unfiltered, unlimited ideas. Such exciting ideas, full of potential and intrigue. These are worthy ideas! Profitable ideas! Ideas that are worth pursuing! They bubble up from his creative center, bursting into his mind, distracting and thrilling him. Each idea seems so good when it’s viewed standing alone. But each idea has to fit into the bigger picture of budget-constraints and time-limits. It is frustrating to have unlimited creativity in a limited world.
His wife is the practical one. She keeps hold of the big picture at all times. She appreciates his ideas – she’s always been in love with that brilliant and creative mind of his. She just wishes all those fabulous ideas came with instructions for how to fit them in with everything else!
Their daughter watches their dance of creativity and practicality. She loves her Dad’s creative powers and wants to see more of his ideas brought to life. It’s a conundrum. It’s a puzzle.
